Pasta Prime Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 So, 2005 GMC Sierra 2500, No bose, no Onstar, I put a brand new basic Kenwood (cant remember the model) in. I just used the basic wire harness and not the module where you retain your chimes and such. This is one you have to get power from somewhere else since the factory harness (WTF where you thinking GM?) doesn't have it. I got power at the fuse block where there was an exposed plug That had constant 12v while key was on, not ACC though. No I didn't just shove the wire behind a fuse. lol Now occasionally the thing shuts off while driving. Pulling the face on and off makes it come back on. Head unit problem or factory compatibility problem? New build coming........
