Guess I need to start a capacitor arguement.... HELP!

Here's some info I was just given:

"As I understand the MINI battery the Body Control Unit allows for charging the factory battery to a predetermined limit- my 2008 Clubbie is 430CCA I believe. Installing a larger CCA battery doesn't work as the BCM doesn't recongnize the larger CCA ability as the BCM will not charge the larger batt to that much limit. The new battery then has some problems months or so downer road as it's not reaching its potential. MINI dealers "register" your new battery she they change it by hooking into their mainframe for $100-$150 registration charge. THE GOOD NEWS... is that Optima will have a 650-700CCA battery in our smaller DION sizes early 2015 or so they tell me. However, we still have that registration problem, so MC2 is working with a software company to make the software available in a inexpensive tool skipping the dealership. Looks like I'm just going to downsize. Just run the Soundstream in 3-way for now.

I'll have 320w for the sub. What's a good 10 or 12 that would work well for that little bit of power? I've got an old 15" Polk MM that I ran in my last MINI and sounded pretty good but I'd have to shoehorn that bitch in this one. I think the max dimensions I can fit in the trunk with the amp in there is 32"L x 15"D x 11"H. Very small.

Or has this become a question for another topic category?

a cap wont do anything. but an extra batt will. that would be your best bet imo

I agree ...

Unless you are building a competition capacitance bank, you are better off adding an extra battery near the amplifier(s).

you could get a good ct sounds 12 for like 70 bucks on amazon. also they have soundqubed hds 12s for like 100 bucks. id get rid of the re audio dtx and get a different amp tho bro. the newer re audio amps arent very good in my opinion. the older dts series re audio amps are way better. the dts1000.1 is only 140 bucks and it puts out over 800 rms at 1 ohm and never even gets warm in my setup.
