Guess I need to start a capacitor arguement.... HELP!

So some background info first:

I have an 06 MINI Cooper JCW Convertible. It has a 120A alternator and 450 CCA battery (pretty weak electrical).

I have the following equipment to install:

Sounstream REF4.760 (80A fuse) to be run @ 4ohm,

RE Audio CTX 3200.1 (90A fuse) to be run @ 1ohm.

I've been advised to not upgrade my battery to a larger capacity because the alternator can't handle it and would no longer be covered under warranty if something would happen. I can't upgrade my alternator because, well, I can't find one, anywhere.

I'm going to upgrade the Big 3 but other than that, I'm kind of out of options. So my question is this:

What brand, type, size capacitor would you recommend (if any) to help bolster my electrical system in the MINI?

I know I'm opening a can of worms here. I've read many debates about whether they work or not and they tend to get heated. But I'm sure there's someone here that has had good experiences and knows what to buy if you have to go that route.

So if you could, please help me out here. I'm not trying to start a argument, I just want some boom in my zoom without frying my MINI.

I fuckin' love this car! Just want better tunes than the norm.

Aaaaand, GO!

increase the battery capacity. that will be fine. any mods you do will void warranty. how is your car a 06 and still under warranty?

add a second battery in back if you dont want to replace stock battery. DO NOT add a capacitor.

I bought it last September with 39k on the odometer. It is a certified MINI so it has a 2 year warranty and I bought an extended warranty. Covered for the next 5 years.

add a battery in the back. your alt will be fine.

he doesnt want to change the stock battery. so i gave him another option. hell he could add a bank of supercaps but i really doubt that is in his capabilities at this time. adding a system really isnt keeping weight down for fuel economy so whats another 30 lb 35 ah battery. not much.

Battery is in the back in those year MINIs. Trouble is, there won't be much room left for the sub enclosure or amp(s) if I add another battery. MINI convertibles have to be the most difficult car to install audio into. I had hell in my last MINI and it was a hatchback. Still fit a 15 in there though..... ;)

120 Amp alt should have no problem keeping a extra battery charged up. If your roughly only running about 2k i would say upgrade all your wire and throw a battery in the trunk and be done with it.
