I havent tried subs up and port back, I can fit more subs that way but just wondering i dont have the mdf around to build a box but if its worth it i think I may. I really wish I could wall my Jeep but I cant so anyone have experience from the 2 designs? or see a db gain from it in anyway? Quote

Im going to build the box subs up port back. Now which location should I place the subs in. Heres a diagram I made quick on paint. The box on the left has the subs at the top away from the port which I was told having the subs as far away from the port is the best (box left), or having the subs in the middle of the box (box right). So as close to the port wall as you can.I've also seen the subs work well as far to each side as you can Im looking to tune the box to 40hz the port now i have the lenght isent too long and i dident calculate out how long its going to be for this but what if i build it with the subs all the way back box to the left in my ever so cool diagram and the port isent under the subs? Because im also thinking the same thing for when i build my spl burp box for when i have to tune it to 68hz. Quote
