holy hell why are you guys trying to stuff bass14s tc subs down his throat... its 3 times what hes looking to pay i mean if he doesnt want them he doesnt want them stop telling him how awesome of a deal it is.

i'm telling him to save for something better than cvrs.

and a deals a deal. it just might still be here if he saves a bit

haha hes just messin around its annoying when u have shit worth money and all u wanna do is get rid of it and get some cash back and u cant.. in his defense... it IS a real good deal but yea ur right its much more than im gonna spend

All depends on the box. If you build a box that will produce low frequencies then you will get low frequecnies. CVR's get very loud and low if done right.

for the back of an extended cab silverado would 2 12'' cvrs sound better ported or sealed? also in each what would be a good ballpark estimate of airspace for each sub ported and sealed?

Here's the link for kicker...Choose car audio, subwoofers and than cvrs....

I've never heard the cvrs sealed but in a prefabbed sucky ported box those subs are nice. Sounded really nice in my escape but didn't sound as loud in an escort zx2 I put them in. When ported the subs are recommended 300 rms. You can get dual 2 and dual 4 ohm voice coil configurations. With your amp I'd get the dual 2 ohm subs. Those subs need at least a cu ft. in a sealed box and more is recommended.

I heard 2 of those in a newer dodge ram with the under the seat box and they didn't sound nearly as good as they did in either the escape nor escort so make sure you give them enough space. They are nice subs though especially for the money.
