I was thinking about a 2.2cu ft box with an external areo port tuned to 40hz be good? Just trying to get some other inputs.. Also this is in a early 2000 focus.. But clamping under 1k so he can stay in his 1Kw Trunk class.. there are 2 options imo, some cars love big ass boxes for spl using small power, other cars love small ass boxes using small power, efficiency is the key here!! I would build 2 boxes: 1) sub up/port side , 1.4 c/f and a 6 or 7" aero (would test both to see wich one gets louder) 2) sub up/port side , 2.5 c/f and a 6 or 7" aero (would test both to see wich one gets louder) ANd yes, external aeroport, try to leave it at least 4-5" clearance I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
