Want go musical (sub) and get loud (4th order box) while sounding clean and crisp! I might be going with and American Bass Elite 1800.1 or SoundQubed Q1 2200D I'm not looking for exact dimensions yet. just looking for what woks and what is going to sound Musical My suggestion 1:.75 Ratio look --> PORT 4 ft^3 tuned 45hz Sealed 3 ft^3 both boxes are made by manufacturer specs, disregard displacement it will be calculated later on. Is this build efficient? Am i going about this right?

Deep Bass Dreams Posted July 25, 2014 Author Report Posted July 25, 2014 I've decided to go with a 4th order SQ setup. Is the cubic ft of the box's I suggested going to achieve that? I just want to know the proper sq ft this sub will require. I will build box to accommodate the space needed.

CleanSierra Posted July 25, 2014 Report Posted July 25, 2014 I read 1.75:1, my bad. As far as your goal, no I can't give you advice and no one what really can either for a bandpass 4th order build. Too many variables are going to be impossible to account for. Give GOOOD amount of port area to the sub, sealed spec to manufacturer rating, ported chamber tuned appropriately and let er rip. A lot of tweaking well likely need to be done. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Deep Bass Dreams Posted July 27, 2014 Author Report Posted July 27, 2014 guess ill be troubleshooting this next build then. hmm might go 1.5:1 ratio . amp for this xcon..i might create another thread for this question. unless you have info to spare about my choices 1500w-2500w range American Bass Zapco Sundown SoundQubed Which would be a good combo with the xcon?
