OrionStang
Sundown amps can be retarded sometimes, so try the red probe in the speaker negative. Leave the black probe in the amp ground. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
tju76
Okay guys I just used the multi meter on the amp 29 volume gain all the way down shows like 36 volts which is not correct it should be lower like 6 etc now the very interesting part is when I turn gain up voltage decreases so at max gain volume 29 it is showing less than 6 volts I can take pics bc I doubt anyone will believe me

tju76
Okay first picture 0db 40hz track 29 volume that is maxxed clean signal before distortion according to dd1 and sub level at 0 all settings flat. The second picture is exact same settings except gain is turned all the way

tju76
Okay it's set perfect the gains were backwards on the amp or something because I checked and rechecked with both the dmm and dd1 at clean signal 33 sub level 15, for everyone saying not to set sub level at 15 you were incorrect in regards to alpine headunits I figured this out because with sub level at 0 the max voltage the amp would see was 22 volts which 1200 watts should be 36 volts so I set sub level to 15 volume at 33 gain knob turned to what is labeled on amp as 6 volts the max and did not get distortion kept "turning down gains " until solid distortion light came on. Then hooked up dmm so I could see the volt reading instead of being 54 which is what it was with gain knob all the way down it was now at 37 so it was perfect. Double checked this and everything checked out. So thank you everyone for all the help I guess we can see why it took so long . I can't believe I figured this out I should PayPal everyone who helped a gift
