electronicoasis024
Hey guys, i got a alpine mrx-m240, it puts out 2,817 at 2-ohms on the certificate. I have currently 2 12'' alpine type r's but they cant handle the amp, i think i want a single 15'' that can take all the power, was an orion fan in the past but i dont know what to get. SlamminBeats
search for a sub rated at 2500rms. There's plenty of options out there. Keep in mind going from 2 12s to 1 15 is losing cone area and coil.
Joe X
Loss of cone area is usually a bad idea, if you have space for 2 12s do that, if you are into low end like many people are right now 2 Sundown X 12s would easily take that amp power. Cj Kumz
Almost all quality brands have got a in the 2k rms range. So just google each brand and search for their top range series. And what are your goals with the sub you want, and type of music you listen to also matters.. But if you truly an Orion fan get the HCCA Vw Polo Pioneer Deh-6050UB Sundown Saz-3500d DD Audio 9500 15'' 5.5 cubic feet box with 10 inch port @ 38hz I live to hear the Bass drop!!!
