mikebik Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 Amp A works Amp B does not Amp A is a -gm-d8601 amp B is a kac-1502s(new) i have the remote on both the amps and the rca is going into the input of amp A the output rca's is going into amp b i have the red flash when the unit is powered i disconnect the rca's and it stops flashing. the only thing i can think of is the ground is not good enough(It's on a source thats part of car it's on a battery that i'm going to install) or the rca's are bad
OrionStang Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 So you have a Pioneer amp and a Kenwood amp connected together. That might be the problem. What does this "the ground is not good enough(It's on a source thats part of car it's on a battery that i'm going to install" mean? SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
mikebik Posted July 27, 2014 Author Report Posted July 27, 2014 it means that it may not be a good enough source, my keyboards a little choppy. I have also tried to connect the rca's from the one thats working to the one that's not so i'm guessing it's not the rca but may be the ground
gally Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 badicly...you sould not connect 2 different amps together... 2010 Chevrolet Cruze Radio --- pioneer mvh-200vbt Front/back --- alpine type s 6.5" Sub Control --- Pac LC1 Sub Amp --- GZPA 1.4K Sub --- GZNW 15XSPL D1 Battery - GZBP 12.2500X
OrionStang Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 So you're running this off a car battery? Does each amp work by itself? If so, refer to my first response. You have two different brands connected together. I'd like to see pic's of this shit. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
mikebik Posted July 27, 2014 Author Report Posted July 27, 2014 i'm running of my car battery to a distribution block to power both amps i have the ground for amp a under my car's seat (07 impala) it runs fine but i have amp b ground only on a battery that's not hooked up in my trunk. i have not swapped the ground from amp a to see if that will do. ill try that tomorrow. but i have tried the remote and rca's and it does othing
mikebik Posted July 27, 2014 Author Report Posted July 27, 2014 @gally i was thinking that until i disconnected the one and got nothing... i'm hoping it's the ground
gally Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 you do know that each amp needs ts own ground, and you cant connect grounds from amp a to amp B, it needs t go to the chasis.. 2010 Chevrolet Cruze Radio --- pioneer mvh-200vbt Front/back --- alpine type s 6.5" Sub Control --- Pac LC1 Sub Amp --- GZPA 1.4K Sub --- GZNW 15XSPL D1 Battery - GZBP 12.2500X
