I can give you a design that will be louder than the one you have right now if you're interested. I didn't mention before but aeroports are the way to go. The box you have right now looks larger than the one I am running in my TC. I have my two sa12s in 2.8 cubes after displacement. Some may say its a bit on the small side but the fact that I'm running a saz3500d it helps with one control and has allowed me not to break them. Okay I will do a design for you and get a cut list together. Where do you want the box tuned at? IMO I would tune from 34-37 hz to be honest with you. That tuning seems to work well in the car. If you want a design strictly for SPL let me know and I will design you a burp box that should do high 140's all day long. When are you needing the design by? I would do 12's in any sub over 10's tbh. Running 10's in the car cause a little bit of an issue for an aeroported box. When you go with 10's you will have to end up running 3" aero's and that isn't really optimum. If you go with 12's I will give you my exact box design that I'm doing 151's with so I can promise you will be loud. That is why I suggested sa12's for you. Jskiles Posted September 9, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 9, 2014 So a couple weeks ago I picked up a box that Nightshade had built for us. Real cool guy and very helpful. He was even called us at the show trying to help us gain on the meter. We picked up some SA12s friday and running off of an SQ 2200. They only had about 2 hours of play and are still pretty stiff but I think the score was good. She got 1st place in Bass Race 120-129.9 and 2nd in dbDrag. Pink Zebra duct tape adds .1 DB! lol.
