buff_n3rd
Sorry about the pics my cheeseburger sweat must have hit the lens. I can retake them if needed. This is what I am dealing with on the surface level. Dog hair. J/K Probably have a solid 30" to play with from front to back (length) Almost 42" wide Maybe 19" tall. I can obviously go higher but I have the cargo cover that I would like to keep unless I remove all the panels in the back to go big. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ydbq1g1j1q0mfed/1.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/3f22axavk0z6mj3/2.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/yttw2mdwt7ddec1/4%20_19%20inches.jpg HOWEVER, my sport edition Rav didn't come with the third row seats so there is a big hole waiting to be filled Roughly 19 inches front to back (length) roughly 34 inches wide Height is about 11 inches but if incorporating it can be the remainder of the height above. https://www.dropbox.com/s/a50kvvjatcg0or1/5.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/5irtibb3ymxh66j/6%20_19%20inches.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/rmuohmnewle947g/7%20_34%20inches.jpg Having issues attaching pics so this method should work. Sorry about that.
Ritch40
i assume this will be a daily set up. which leads me to ask, what type of music to you primarily listen to?? That might have an affect on what some will suggest to you
Cj Kumz
Two 15s should fit in well. Then the bottom can be used to hide your batteries depending on how many you'll get but you should be fine. Just wait for the other guys to bring in the prices now. That might have an affect on what some will suggest to you Rap or drum and bass style songs. Mostly like to get lost in the beat of music and could almost care less at times what the hell is being said. Two 15s should fit in well. Best I ever had were 2 old school rockford punch 12's on a punch (something) when I was 16 in high school. Pretty much have gone 15 years without any satisfaction. Thanks again all for helping out. buff_n3rd
Looks like the sundown audio 15s will fit my budget nicely. What benefits are there going from sa > x > z series. What downfalls? Larger box, more power, more money. SA 15s seem to be begging me to buy at those prices. Can't believe great subs can be had for less when you take off the mass marketing JL and mtx logo.
Cj Kumz
The downfalls are exactly how you've listed them. Though the Z and X series tend to use roughly the same enclosure volumes. For me personally I would go for the X series to give you best of both worlds (spl and sq). The Zs are a little more expensive and would require good power along with strong electrical to power 2 15s. buff_n3rd
You have my attention at the best of both worlds. I would definitely pay more knowing that its a cleaner "loud" excluding all 100 factors that can cause not clean "loud" Would the X line be overkill for a daily driver? I have zero plans on going to shows, SPL/SQ, or showing off at anything other than a friends house. Focusing on just the subs what would be needed to supply adequate power to 2 x 15" X line subs? Same questions "SA" subs?
