Although I just remembered my alt took a poop again so I won't be demoing tomorrow

Regulator, now he thinks it's the rectifier that broke from the regulator breaking or something idk ?

Interesting.

I had mine go out too in Feb.. was like a month old.

Basically, my alt would shut off and stay off. Id rev high, and it'd turn on. Mightve stayed on for a min or two, and shut off again.

It got worse and worse.

Sent it to mike and he tested it. I forget exactly what he said. Something about it charging fine, but when it turned off.. there was back feed or some shit.

Anyway, he replaced the regulator, and actually the whole rotor assembly (shocked me!).

Im going on to the better part of a yr since the repair, no issues.

Hmm.. I wonder if its the regulator again. Maybe just getting rid of the int reg is a choice for you, and just going external?

yeah mine failed too. sent it in and its did nothing but give me great results. mine was due to heat though.

Yeah mine went out from heat too. He said it has a one wire regulator which he doesn't use often so I feel like that might be the problem. Kinda annoyed though cause my friends regulator went out and he replaced just about everything, also I just got my alt back from being fixed Wednesday night AND I worked my ass off to get everything in and playing for slamfest and I gave probably 5 demos ? wanted to be playing it all weekend

Soooo basically this setup isn't as loud as I thought it'd be, should definitely be louder. Said it was a 50 but I also went 9 months without bass. I got used to it real quick and it just isn't loud enough or as loud as it should be sooooooo time to change it up.
