Help with multi depth port

Building a giant enclosure for 2 18" zv4's. the box is going to be angled, when i build the port torres says the port shall be 15"x23" so should i just follow the angle?

You want your port's cross sectional area to remain the same through out the length of the port, then you just measure down the centerline to get the length you need.

If you gave us a picture or drawing of exactly what you want to do we might be able to help you more.

You want your port's cross sectional area to remain the same through out the length of the port, then you just measure down the centerline to get the length you need.

If you gave us a picture or drawing of exactly what you want to do we might be able to help you more.

I was in a similar situation with a trapezoidal box I was/am designing. I ended up designing around it so that my port doesn't have to make the turn along the angled side. Just not sure if I'd run into any unforeseen issues with the fact that the column of air in that port is going to turn that corner at a different rate at the top of the port vs. the bottom (could make for some interesting port turbulence.)

And on the other hand, it may make no difference at all. Anybody with access to a CFD simulator is welcome to prove this empirically to satisfy curiosity, but I'd try to avoid it personally.
