Ritch40 Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 after doing some searching, i have yet to run across an answer for this. say i am designing a box using 2 4" round ports. winisd says a port length of 50". does each port need to be 50" long? or is it that we need 2 ports that are 25" long so it equals 50"??
Triticum Agricolam Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Each port would need to be 50" in your example. The more port area you have, the longer your port/s need to be. So when using round ports and you go to two from one they will need to get a lot longer. Ritch40 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Report Posted September 3, 2014 okay thank you for taking the time to answer that
Joe X Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 That's the problem with round ports sometimes.
Ritch40 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Report Posted September 3, 2014 Joe, yes, much more efficient but they (like any design) have their own group of issues to work thru and sort out too. thank you for taking to time to comment. I very much appreciate the education i get from all of you folks!! thank you
