99vic Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 (edited) im finally ready to build a box. i just picked up some more alpine type r 15s (got jacked for the last ones) but they are not going in my crown vic im putting them in my 98 explorer. i found the specs on their web site http://support.alpine-usa.com/products/doc...M_SWR-1542D.PDF page 4 how do i go about building a box to those specs? i listen to mostly rap some r&b and oldies. should i go ported or seales what should the box be tuned to ?im not really sure. can someone help? dwright27 Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 (edited) i would tune lower for daily and higher for spl depending on what your car peaks at. 35 - 40 hertz will work great for daily. 40 is as high as i would go though if i ever decided to tune my box that high.
