Subs Up Or To The Rear

Recommended Posts

my current setup is subs up port up. I preferred my old box's style of subs up port back, but only cause in my case, subs up port up cause my back glass to vibrate too much and make too much noise. I think the only difference you are likely to see is on the meter. I couldn't really hear much of a difference between the two.

My System:

Pioneer AVH-P3200BT

4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors)

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

2-18" BTL's (for now)

Crescendo 3kwp (for sale)

Complete rebuild coming soon...

i think it has to do with the sound waves going up then to the back of the hatch and then forward...if you move the box as close to the back hatch as possible it will not have to do as much as a trip and sound about the same..i did the experiment the other day....
