magillaru
Trying decide on what type of wood to use.....might try this: http://bddwood.squarespace.com/araucoplywood/ Anyone have first-hand experience using this type of wood? Would there be any noticeable difference in resonance? The place I linked above is local to me and seems like all their stuff is high quality. They also have baltic birch but not sure I want to spend $74/sheet. Singer Alternators Team Asshole #anothershittysingerbuild
Triticum Agricolam
Arauco is pretty much all I build boxes out of now. Mine costs me about $45 a sheet, worth every penny. Its advantages over MDF vastly outweigh its disadvantages IMHO. Arauco is stiffer and lighter than MDF, so that should push any resonances up to a higher frequency range, though if you are getting panel resonances in any sub box you are doing something wrong.
