Changing sub box, more port area?

Not as much port area as some are using on here using aero port 6", sub's box recommendations 5-8 cu ft, gross of 6.96 but I cut it down because it was a little big for current ride, notice gain and gain some port area 10 something vs. 9 something actually think the box sounds better, curious and due to limits at this time, were keeping the 25.5 x 25 x 21 box .75 MDF wondered if we used 5 4" ports and brought the port area to above 12s should that improve output? Hifonic's Older BRZ 2400 amp seems OK just notice and maybe all amps due this that when doing sine wave for voltage 48, 35-45 Hz seems to be the higher read out area vs 60 Hz etc, maybe all amps are like this just a observation just never realized the amp favors some Hz areas more then others. Voltage on Sun gauge never goes below 13.5 close in town at idle and air on but never much below 13.5 volts, like the amps rated at 12 , 128 or 13.5 volt readings more maybe change after box is fixed to better amp, depends.

On the box, just from what I read there seems to be some advantage to the extra port area, crossing it over at 80 Hz for now, once we get a different car and have the room we might do a slotted box but for now, we working with 6.36 cu ft box gross, net guess around 5.22 if we do the 5 - 4 inch tubes and just round the ends higher port area should help also as far as port noise. Plus believe the sub likes a 12-16 sq port area, not sure if output is more peaky or where that peak might be, but guess trying it I will find out just wondered if it is a better way to head, aero ports in general do not require as much port area but their expensive and would be way to long if adding more vs. just going to old PVC route. current port area now is about 10.28 was little nervous about smaller box but actually more port little less box seems to be a improvement. Net still within the working area of sub.

Sorry been off, anyways vehicle were looking at new unit but know box size and match to SUV style car, fi 18 bl, we went a head tried two 6" aeros vs. 5 4" round ports curious port area effected sound much not tried to seal off one of the ports tune lower, usually been using 33-34 Hz area. Large sub but then again we never tried to tune much lower, just figure output might go down as well. Gone sold Brz 2400, Q1 2200 in trunk now. Unfortunately to make sale of old amp, change in port sides harder to tell but 2 6" were doing well, I have a side on each side one fits 4 " other fit 6" which we used aero, but aero outside looks nice but for my limited skills seems to seal better sealing the tub without the outside aero might try just the inside and a little more tube. 18" Aero 6" 22: 4" tubes so far, not tried a slot maybe the aero but not sure notice much change in the increase port area which in turns lessens net box area. Torress not a 100% sure on how good it is, but we sort of go between it and just see what precision port has etc. 4 4" tubes if we blocked one with a cap guess would give or let us see how it sounds tuned lower. Just thought less peak and not sure at what point output goes down and increase in low end ends. Maybe this is not what you wanted, but then now we just set the sub in my galant '11 until we get car, voltage on Sun gauge stays higher 13s on highway 14s, lowest summers in Oklahoma air on and at light around 13.5 volts. Big 3 0 gauge wire, 3 batteries, just try to do it all myself always have somewhat lot more involved then the years ago when I first got into car stereos Sacramento N CA years ago, lot more shows and events or just area. in town of 6K not a lot here. Never post picture on here not sure how. 4" tubes are just PVC pipe, aeros are little costly, PVC so far for this did OK maybe the larger port area helped.
