Hey, i have a d3400 up front, and an xp3000 waiting to go in the back. Do i need to run an isolator between the two? or can i just wire them str8 to eachother?

No isolator needed.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

suhweeet. that saves me a bunch of trouble. now i just gotta charge that sucker and get some terminals from CNF. do another 1/0 run, and hook my other amp up. Should i have 2 1/0 grounds on my rear battery? its gonna have 2 1/0 power runs and a 4 gauge power run to it from the front batt.

Isolators are important if you don't charge the batteries often. A daily driven vehicle is obviously charged daily. My first handicapped van went through multiple sets of batteries with the original owners, because it sat for long periods of time and two batteries hooked up in parallel will pull each other down. The voltage "see-saws" back in forth between the batteries and drains them. Like, one will be .1 volt higher than the other, so it charges the lower battery, then the previously lower battery is now .1 higher than the other battery and the process repeats.

So- daily driven or maintenance charged vehicles don't need isolators. Vehicles that sit for a while should have an isolator or battery maintainer.

You have two runs of 1/0 and then you're using 4ga? What for?

i was just gonna run 2 zero gauges from the front and the 4 gauge i already have run for the door speakers to the battery in the back. Or is all im gonna need is 2 1/0 runs to the back battery and 2 1/0 grounds on the back batt?

Since the 4 Guage is already ran and hooked up I'd leave it.

It definitely won't hurt anything, and more power wire is always better than less.

My thoughts were that with 2 runs of 1/0 the 4 gauge isn't necessary, and the install would look cleaner without the odd 4 gauge.

This is one of those "do what you think" kinda questions.
