headunit preamp gone bad?

he changed the speaker on the amp tho to a fullrange one, so it could be the amp or the sub or the decks sub-output

Wrong, read the first post. He ran the different output to his full range amp, not his sub amp, and it was going to his midrange speaker.

so you had Bluetooth on your phone turned off when you tried the usb/cd/radio

yes i had bluetooth turned off

use the rear rca from the headunit to your SUB AMP and set the lpf on the amp to 80.... does it still do stupid stuff wired like this?

i have done this with 2 different amps when i turn lpf on it buzzes when i turn it off it doesnt
