Skyfall
Just bought my first mono amp, I've been using 2/4 channels previously. I currently have 2 SVC 4ohm sub's, wiring them to 2ohms, they each have there own chamber with terminals, question is can I wire them with the terminals included? Or do I go directly to each sub? TRON
Terminals on the enclosure? Yeah, why wouldn't you use them? Avalanche Alpine Type S comps Alpine Type S 10'' Alpine MPR-F300 Alpine MRX-M50 Mechamn 270 XS Power d3400s
Skyfall
I was just wondering if I would get a better connection doing it direct to the sub (I'm kinda new to all of this)

Are you talking about wiring the amp to one terminal on the outside and wire the second terminal to the first terminal to get your 2 ohm load? What amp are you using now? TRON
Unless you're running a lot of power, and the wire from the terminals going inside the enclosure are like, 20ga, then don't worry about it. Skyfall
I am using 12 gauge ATM but switching it to Knu 10 gauge, I'm running each sub at 450rms
TRON
Shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure the wiring on the inside is good. Broke_Audio_Addict
Either way is fine and 12ga is fine for what you're running. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. RainStryke
That works, i'd just be worried those wires are going to get pulled somewhere. I'd look into a way to tame them so they don't get snagged.
