So I just recently got my system installed which consist of 2 12" MMATS porcast series and a 2400.1d hifonics brutus amplifier. I now need to get the amp tuned so I can have the piece of mind about not clipping. I was wondering if I could trust places like best buy or brandsmart (similar to best buy) with tuning my amp the correct way. I took my car to brandsmart and they only quoted me $35 to tune the amp. But I was alittle worried as to how they would do it because the lady who was the installer said that they would tune the amp to how I want it to sound and said nothing about protecting my amp and subs from clipping.

Any advice would be approximated or if anyone has a dd1 in or near west Palm beach FL please leave a comment.

There's a used DD1 for sale on here for $99 shipped.

Static drops are my bag.

I would say it really depends on the person actually doung the install. When I was best buy years ago I had an o-scope for tuning and so did like three other guys. Before I left I was the only one. I would personally be very cautious using them!!

Don't do it .I used to work at best buy for a year and half the installers know what they our doing the other half wing it. Cough up the dough and go to a legit dhop. None of the bestbuys by me had anything to tune by but ear but maybe it's different now this was like 10 yrs ago. But if I where you go to a legit shop or see if anyone from and can help you.
