Not much here. There's only one local show a year, and they didn't even do it this year...next year though I will attend and I will win!

edit: on some songs even at 60% on my pac lc1 (set sub amp with dd1 @ -10db, will pac lc1 @ max) my voltage dips down to low 11s and 10. But when i play it low like 25-30hz i stay above 13.5 and it's loud. Lower notes take less power I think because whenever it plays higher around 40-50hz my voltage just drops right down.

but yea the higher notes do suck up more voltage. I'm fine from 22-40hz i stay above 13.8 but once i get into the 45/50hz my voltage drops hard. then again my box is massive and tuned to 29hz...so I'm shocked i can play 60hz at all.

if you listen to decaf id go with -5db on the track....id go -5db no matter what. a Lil safer and a Lil more play in volume control

There's two local guys who do it and own their business and then a local shop.

I went to one of the local guys, he was pretty good, knew his stuff but talked a lot of shit about the other local guy, showed me pictures of this other guys installs which were just horrible but I'm not sure they were his. The first one I went to always talked shit about this other dude, was weird and I felt bad for him.

Fast forwards 2 years, haven't talked to that guy in a while and I've been becoming decent friends with the other guy, seems incredibly nice and knowledgeable, more so then the other dude. Seems to get a lot more business, while the other guy actually closed his shop this last year. Really makes me think the other guy was full of shit. This second guy I've been talking to saw my build pics and told me he wants to see the install and a demo ect... He even told me he needed someone to assist in installing car alarms and stuff and hinted to me that I might be able to do it.

but that makes sense man, the loudest wheel gets greased the fastest! the reason he talked so much was because he needed the business,plus to feed his own ego. people that are good let there work speak for itself...not talk shit about others.

shop sucks, they over charge and tune by ear (think jl is the best) andthe other shops come and go before you knew they were there.

have a interview today with another one.

i worked 73hours last week. plus being a dad..no time for audio!
