Any concern for voltage to amps?

With 4v HU running to 7v Clarion EQ, that is in transit, should I be concerned at all? I know some people say it can introduce noise - but is that just due to bad grounding? I also have read that it could overload the inputs of the amp, causing early failure (some day), as well as running them hot, and adding noise?

Anything I should be prepared for?

Look up the max RCA input voltage (~2.5 to 6V) for your amps and make sure the EQ is set to that level and not higher, otherwise you could clip the amps input.
