Fucking dope... LOVE ittt

Thanks man. I have always wanted a 300zx and jumped at the opportunity to buy one a couple months ago. It had 160000 kms(about 70000 miles) totally original including original paint. Only thing changed was the wheels AND I'm only the second owner. She was maintained properly and never saw winter and lived in a garage. I got a pretty good deal too. Paid $3500 and traded some stereo equipment(Alpine DVD head unit, Rockford Punch 150s, 12" Rockford P2D2 in sealed box and a cheap Pyramid 4 gauge amp wiring kit) for it. So got about $4200 tied up in it. I had my own stereo system bought and waiting for something worthy enough to installed into.

a better pic of my head unit20140910_233451_zps3994b0e5.jpg

A few pics of the back inside after i removed the trim and carpet. I sprayed down 3 coats of spray on bedliner around all the seams after i cleaned everything, then put down some butyl/asphalt mix roofing stuff that i found in my Dads garage. i know its not ideal, but it was free and figured id put it on the flat areas before i buy Second Skin and put it over the top of it too. When i take the seats out, I am going to cover the floor with it as well before i put Second Skin on top of it too.

This is my sub and sub amp installed in my Buick Enclave connected to the factory Bose system. I couldn't wait to hear them together, so I temporarily installed them in my daily driver to hear what I was working with. I previously had 2 10w3v3's and a 500 watt MB QUART amp in there and the W7 is leaps and bounds louder and deeper than the 2 10w3v3's, although the 10w3v3's did sound really nice too.

Ya just think how it will sound in the little car!

yeah, i know. I put the 2 10w3v3s in the car hooked up to a Rockford 10001bd as a temporary music fix along with some cheap JVC 6x9s in boxes connected to a Phoenix Gold ZX200, just so i could have some tunes for the 6 or 7 weeks that i got to drive the car before the snow fell. The 10w3v3s were a lot louder in the small confines of the car as apposed to the huge Enclave interior, but them 10's dig DEEP in a spec ported box. They are louder and deeper than a lot of 12's ive heard, louder than some 15's for that matter. The W7 should be SLAMMING in that car. Im a little worried about how the t-tops will handle it. Should i have the W7 firing up at the rear window or firing backwards towards the rear of the car? I am thinking on hooking up the Epicenter I have to the 1000/1 and W7 and using the 450/4 on one of the 10w3v3 in a sealed box on the drivers side rear where there is room to put it. Using the 450/4, i can run the 75x2 channels to my front stage and bridge the 150x2 channels to one and run the 10w3v3 off that 300 watts rms. Will i even be able to hear the 10" over the W7 or am i wasting my time by doing that? Kinda want the punchy solid bass that the 10" can provide in a sealed box, and the deep rumble that the W7 and Epicenter should be able to give.

IMO Sub and port back because of that box. Some would say design a enclosure with sub up and port back so the sub loads off the glass but i am no expert and others will chime in. Probably just move sub box around to see what sounds best or hits hardest in the hatchback.

As for the 10's, dont waste your time with them in this car. Put them back in your other ride. Focus on a killer front stage and electrical with those amps and sub stage.

Look into some midbass up front if you want Punchy and let the sub take care of the lows.

Ideal front stage is midbass, midrange & Highs with subs in rear.

Well, I have a 3 way component set now, is that midbass that comes with it a good midbass? I also own another set of CDT components that are 2 ways, and the midrange is also 6.75" too.Should I build door panels and put both of the 6.75" midbass and midranges on the doors, and put the 3.5" midranges and both sets of tweeters in enclosures on the A pillars?
