milburyl
This is going to be my slow build log. My car is a 1986 Nissan 300ZX Turbo and I actually just put it away for the winter. I may not be driving it, but that's a good thing as it allows me to REALLY tear it apart to get things done. First off, I will give a list of equipment that I have been slowly buying to complete my FIRST big build. HU- Rockford Fosgate RAVDVD1 with dashmount 7" LCD **changed HU to Alpine CDA-7998 Phantom Face Signal processing- Hifonics HFEQ 4 band Parametric eq, 9 volt line driver **no need for this anymore. Speakers- CDT Audio ES series 6.75" 3 way components(orange basket) **added CDT ES-06 midbass too. Subwoofer- JL Audio 13W7AE in 2.37 ft3 net tuned to 34hz JL spec vented enclosure. Amps- JL Audio 450/4 for highs, JL Audio 1000/1 for lows **will be using 2 450/4's and 2 1000/1's Batteries- 120amp/hr Deep Cycle under hood, and 2 Kinetic HC600 batteries in the rear. ** added another Kinetik HC1400. Wiring- DB Link OFC 0 gauge from batteries to distro blocks(power and ground), 4 gauge Stinger OFC from distro blocks to amps, and 4 gauge Stinger OFC big 3. **found out DB Link 0 gauge is CCA, not using anymore. Also have 2×JL Audio 10w3v3's that I am considering to install as well. **not using these after consideration. I know that I have the right equipment to have a bad ass sounding system, as long as I execute everything properly. That's where all the members here will help bring my vision to fruition. Larry Milbury
Damn man....Super clean ass car. Really nice find you got there. Tuned in for sure. Thanks man. I was really lucky when I found the car. I bought it about 2 months ago from the original owner and the car is totally original(paint and all) except for the wheels. It came with the wheels you see on the front of the car, and I scored the ones you see on the rear locally. I have all 4, but am waiting on spacers before they will fit on the front. She's never seen winter and lived her entire life in a garage when not being driven. And I am continuing that by parking her this winter and getting some work done on the stereo while she's parked.
