Totalnoob
Hey guys I was a fucking idiot a few months ago and put peal and seal in my car as sound deadener. I was wondering if it will be OK to put real sound deadning product over the peal and seal? Or would it be a waste of time? If it will be a waste of time I will just leave the peal and seal and use the real sound deadner on other places. I don't think the peal and seal is deadening anything at all that's why I want to try to put real deadener over it. The peal and seal held up good in the front doors and side panels in the trunk that's the only places I put it. It will be a damn pain in the ass to tare it all out you know. Let me know. CleanSierra
You're defeating the purpose if you try to add deadener OVER the garbage. Get a heat gun and peel that shit off. BTW, it's PEEL and Seal, not peal. Peal means something completely different. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Totalnoob
Wow I am a dumbass I didn't know. You guys think the tar will come off with the foil piece if I buy a 1000 watt heat gun for like 30 bucks or will there be a big sticky tar mess all over the car panels to clean up with alcohol? RainStryke
That stuff is going to be a pain in the ass to clean off, even after you pull it off with a heat gun. I'd see if it holds... if it doesn't, then peel off the rest and replace it with a butyl base product.
Totalnoob
The peel and seal has been in there for about 6 to 7 months and it hasn't budged and had high temps in the high 90's so I'm guessing its stuck there and that tar is fucking shit up. If I try to peel that off i have a feeling I'm fucked in the ass.
