I have 2 of the same brand of subs just different models. The Specs on one sub is CS-GW1200 Type 11 13/16” (30 cm) Max. Power 1200W RMS Power 350W Sensitivity 87dB Frequency Response 23 - 2,000Hz Impedance 4Ω + 4Ω (Dual Input) Fs 25.4Hz Qts 0.315 Vas 3.42 ft3 Magnet Mass 53.7 oz Hole Cutout Diameter Dia. 11” (278 mm) Mounting Depth 5 1/2” (139.6 mm). The specs on the other sub is CS-AW6240 Type 12” (30 cm) Max. Power 1000W RMS Power 350W Sensitivity 87dB Frequency Response 25 - 2000Hz Impedance 4 Ω + 4Ω Fs 25.4Hz Qts 0.998 Vas 3.05 ft3 Magnet Mass 53.7 oz Hole Cutout Diameter Dia. 11 13/32” (289 mm) Mounting Depth 5 21/32” (143 mm). Would it work and how well if I hook them up together? Please no smart answers and explain your answer if you don't mind.
Thuginfc Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 I'm sure it could work. Just wouldn't be optimal. I've done in in a pinch but one sub would be "bullying" the other so to speak.
hispls Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 Mix matching subs is frowned upon. Definitely don't want them sharing airspace in a box. You may or may not be able to get away with running them in separate boxes but more likely than not results will be less than optimum.
