MatthewBigBossWilliams
Just want to make sure you have a good battery in the device like a Duracell, Rayovac, or Energizer, something decent and that it has decent amount of juice left in it right? I dont know how many times this has happened and you ask the person and they say its a brand new Duracell in the device. Then when they return the item because it does not work and Steve or Tony get the item back as a return or repair they check the battery first and its usually some dead battery reading 4 volts or some no name generic battery. They simply put a new quality battery in it and the device works just fine. I myself replace my batteries in my DD-1, DD-1+, IM-SG, and CC-1 as well as my 2 clamp meters and my multimeter twice a year even if there is still life left in the batteries. Just making sure this isnt the case here. I just got them not a 2 or 3 weeks ago. Also it is a duracell brand new just bought. I will retry it again later. MatthewBigBossWilliams
So I just went and tried it. and nothing worked. I think it might have something to do with that buzzing noise I hear. probably a bad ground would interfere with it.

audiofanaticz
Did you try using the negative probe on the negative amplifier speaker output. iirc the crescendo amplifiers use Tiffany style inputs, which are not grounded and may make it a differential rca input. There is no physical connection between the negative rca signal on the amp and the actual ground and that may have something to do with the signal not being transferred through the ground when the cc-1 is grounded on the battery itself. So try it using both the positive cc-1 probe on the positive speaker output of the amp, and the negative cc-1 probe on the negative speaker output of the amp and then you should hopefully get a signal. I remember someone else having an issue with a 4channel or 2 channel crescendo I thought and they couldn't get signal on the dd-1 with their amp 1 way but the other way worked.
