I meant cut holes n the false wall for the sub box, to allow air to travel behind the wall and then into cabin.

if there is an access hole into the boot from the cabin you are fine, if there isn't and that's what you are wanting to cut I wouldn't recommend it at all. but i'm not sure what you cats in Merica can get away with.
