I would say that your friend should swap you straight across if your paying for the repair. I mean come on, basically you are trading to non working amps for two perfectly good amps. Rockfords are proven quality, while maxxsonics (even the nicer hifonics line) is considered budget amps to me and many people, but crunch is down there with pyrmid, pyle, power acoustik. Its nice to see that they released a nicer amp under the crunch line, but under $500 for a amp that puts out its true wattage and is 16 volt stable is just too cheap, they had to have cheaped out on a lot of good parts. Which leads me to believe that it is pure dirty power. Id rather strap a bunch of optimus/radio shack amps together with a maxxlink then put a crunch amp in my car!
