jakmagic Posted December 23, 2014 Report Posted December 23, 2014 Center console? 97 Buick Lesabre? I would ditch the mounting of those speakers in a center console idea. I have a 97 Buick LeSabre also and if I were you, I'd just put those mid bass drivers in your doors right where your stock 5.25" go. (If car came with the OEM Concert Sound system) That plastic bracket that the OEM woofer mounts to can be easily used to mount your new woofers in the door with a little bit of cutting. There should be plenty of room there. Use some rings cut out of MDF and you would be good to go. If you wanted any pics I'd be glad to post or PM them to you. Mounting those drivers in a center console may not be too good for any SQ. Your best bet is ditch the rear speakers and just focus on the front. I'd even ditch the center dash speaker and just keep the set of components, but that's just my opinion. Whatever you decide to do, post some pics to show how it turns out. Remember sometimes simpler is better and quality over quantity. 97 Buick LeSabre with stock 140 amp alternator XS Power D3400 (under the hood) using pdb distro blocks Big 3 done with 2/0 ga welding cable Alpine CDE-HD149BT head unit CT Sounds Meso 6.5" components CT Sounds 60.4 CT Sounds 1400.1 Fi Q 12 D2 with cooling in 2.5 net tuned @32 hz (box built by Sound Mekanix Customs) Bunch of Sky High 1/0 ga & 4 ga cable (plus fuse holders) Connection BT2 & BT4 550 (Audison) RCA's Bunch of Mojo Mat
