So my question is how would I power these speakers since what I have goin is a kenwood deck with only 2 pre outputs and there going into my clarion eq and which is going to my sub and 4 channle I already got pushin my rear deck speakers and my dash speakers. I know I have to buy splitters how would I do this im sorry im still learning thanks alit in advance for your input
will77530 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 well there is a few ways to do this your 4 ch could have inputs and out put for the rcas which is the easiest if not you can use splitters to split the rcas going to the 4 ch and add another amp or you can get the proper impedance voice coils and run them all off the single 4ch you will need passive crossovers just so you know
d-nice88 Posted December 22, 2014 Author Report Posted December 22, 2014 Please explain as I am a noob to this my 4 ch is a lanzar mnx 460

islandpride684 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 There is no rca output for that amp...so rca splitters it is, how many outputs does your EQ have? Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 I'd spend your money upgrading what you have instead of trying to add more to it. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
d-nice88 Posted December 22, 2014 Author Report Posted December 22, 2014 Onky sub front and rear rca output
islandpride684 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 what amp are you gonna use to power the 2 8s and the 2 super tweets? Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
White Lightning Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 I wouldn't put anything other than subs in the center console. Optimize what you have now and work from there ... d-nice88 Posted December 23, 2014 Author Report Posted December 23, 2014 ok so let me tell you guys what i currently have first off. i have 2 re audio se-x 15 dual 2 ohm subs in the trunk in a box i built my self. (got the box design from car audio fab) powered buy a kicker cx1200.1 and i got the subs wired down to 2 ohms. now for mids and highs i have 2 kenwood 6x9 coaxials in the rear and some infinity reference 4x6's in the dash. powered buy a lanzar mnx 460 which states it does 200 watts rms x 4ch at 4 ohms does it really do it idk but its working for me for what im using it for. now i want to add 2 prv 8" mid range/ mid bass woofers in my center console one on each side of the box and 2 pyramid tw46 super tweets prolly mounted on top of the center console just add some extra wood and seal it off from the mid bass idk yet. and to power it im gona use the lanzar maxp4260 which is a 4 ch. that does 200 watts rms x 4ch at 4 ohms its a lil bit better then the one i already have. Now i know you all dont really agree with the lanzar brand but for what i wanna use it for its working just fine for me so with that being said i only have line out outputs on my kicker amp so can i use the splitters to go in each one of the outputs to daisy chain the 4 ch off the sub amp or just use the splits on the 4 ch. i already got. im sry if im asking a dumb question here guys but i only trust u guys the car audio gods advice. taught me alot. oh and its going in a 97 buick lesabre
