MrSkippyJ
who even uses subsonic filters? Learn you own system, don't play what you know it can't play id rather be able to play any song than only play a select number of songs. YukonDCXL
I'm tuned to 34-35. So having it all the way down can damage?

boom50cal
people actually use those? set the cutoff of how high you can play on your headunit, don't be dumb with the low frequencies. You'll never TRULY know where you are tuned at unless you run an IMSG to it. Wish I woulda met you at Heatwave and you could have heard my car, I'd show you what I mean by don't be stupid with how low you play. I was solid down until 22hz usually...in a driving setup. Both front windows down, sunroof cracked. Demoing I could get down in the 20hz range by manipulating the windows/doors. Every little change you make in your windows/doors/sunroof/AC vents, modifies your tuned frequency the environment that is your car. What I am getting at is, that using the SSF is more so of a protect your shit if you can't. If you spend some time you'll find out what you should and shouldn't play. MrSkippyJ
of course it's there for protection. why exactly wouldn't you use it? boom50cal
of course it's there for protection. why exactly wouldn't you use it? Why would I? I knew the limits of my setup. Spent enough time in it to know what i COULD and ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT play and how for each. Lights Down Low while driving, full tilt both windows down? Fuck yeah I could do it all day. Parked with one up/one down? Nope, unloaded like hell. If I let people drive my car alot? Yeah I would definitely have had it set, hell I would have set the amps on a switch so I could turn them off.... but people didn't drive my car and I knew the limits. MrSkippyJ
Oh I get it, limit where, when, and how you can play your system rather than just turn on a filter. makes sense.
