In my case, I have a piece of wood bolted to the floor pan of my trunk. Then I have my amps mounted to the board using the insulators between the amps and the board. UNLESS.... and the "unless" is a big one... 11 layer section, dead space,... that sort of deal......... and some "rubber thingys"...... id just look else where to mount your 1200 dollar plus piece of gear..... just me. that said?!!... it could have lasted there for years.... or blown on day 2. Really...... things happen... But, no way would i have mounted my large board the way you did... where you did... .. just saying. I went for a drive playing it. Parked it. Next day started it, heard a "pop". It was dead. From that, to that..... just like that. It happens. For the most part i made this thread to gain some knowledge,and i did. thanks for all the input. Now I'm gonna go order an ampere to hold me over.
