So im looking to upgrage from my 1200RF amp and 2type r's in a costum ported box to the HDC4 or HDC3 not sure which one bt i was wondering how much RMS can they actually take on a daily and what amps i should get Also i need a box for it so some help with that would also be nice

pa-pa-platypus Posted January 16, 2015 Report Posted January 16, 2015 alot of it is gonna depend on your budget and how much you're willing to spend my hdc4's were louder than my 3's but they also like a touch more power and weren't as efficient on lower power power wise around 2k for the 3's and 4k for the 4's on a daily setup with clean signal This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned 151.6 with single 12 at 41 hz 153.2 with 2 12's at 43 hz power: dd m4

Jeff4661 Posted January 16, 2015 Report Posted January 16, 2015 I'd go for the HDC3s if your only looking to spend 500-600 on an amp.. to hdc3s would get very nasty on a SQ3500 ? I have 2 hDc3 15's and I wouldn't trade them for anything..
