Guest
I'm sure of it! Whenever I do another build, I def want to do a real sq setup! I think for this setup, like a said before, I kind of need to accept the fact that it will not be sound quality lol. So, I am prolly just gonna stick with the Clarion MCD360 so I can at least get the HPF filters right and call it a day. That Stetsom would have been interesting though.. White Lightning
My tweeters are passively crossed at 2600 htz, my 5.25" midrange drivers play full range and cut actively on the bottom end around 90 htz, and my 6.5" door midbass drivers cut on top end around 270 htz and on the low end around 40 htz ... And the subs ... Lets just say they were tuned at 24 htz. I use to show people all the time what a true 19 htz actually sounded and felt like ... LOL I've been guilty of playing 4htz test tones on my sub stage. Ask ninja of you think I'm joking ... How much worse do you think your system would sound if you only used the HPF on the 6.5s so it played 40hz and up? And 4Hz?? That's crazy awesome!! So it literally just causes a silent earthquake? lol
White Lightning
They (6.5" drivers) have no problems playing absolutely full range. However, strong door drivers have a tendency to pull the stage and image down if not too careful with them. I am working on a new midbass setup for my truck as we speak. Guest
And by pulling the stage down, do you mean making the stage sound like it is coming from beneath you too much? Can't wait to see your new setup btw!
