Eduardo Andrade Posted January 25, 2015 Report Share Posted January 25, 2015 Hey guys, been a while since I've been on these forums or since I've gotten into car audio, so excuse me if I've gotten rusty and sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I'm trying to build a system on a budget, no more than 400 if I can, while at the same time keeping the usage of space down. I have a Saab 9-3 and if anyone knows these cars they'd know they're very complicated to work with, I don't plan on keeping this car forever anyways, but what I plan on doing is running an aux cord from my glovebox or arm rest to a sound processor/equilizer, from the processor to a 5 channel amp and replace all the speakers. The car stock has about 9 speakers and are all component, I'm replacing all except the middle front speaker with new components. I already have a list of the equipment I'm going to buy but before I make the purchases I thought I'd ask here to see if you guys could recommend maybe better equipment for an equivalent price. I forgot to mention, I'm not looking to get super loud, and I'm not trying to build an sq system. I just need sounds in my car because the radio doesn't work. I'm just looking for a good median. Something basic to replace the basic. It will connect directly to my phone, I'm not looking to install a radio. Subs will come into play later, I lent 2 sets to some friends and both their dumb asses got them stolen. Never again will I lend my equipment to my friends.
