How to face subs in trunk

Hello, I have read up on which way to face your subwoofers in your trunk to make it sound best for bass. What I had read was based on subs in small premade boxes and how the soundwaves can cancel each other out.

However, if you are sealing your trunk off is one method better than the other?

I am only running a single 12" dvc sub ported on 300 w rms. so not a boatload of power. Sorry if this has been debated before.

I alway say run them facing the back of the trunk, reason for bass reverb, if ya put them facing the front u dont get as much of a boom, ya i know u see alot of ppl face em that way but ive done it both ways with 10's - 15's and towards the back always seemed to be louder!

I second Jake on every point. If you face them forward (not sealed off) some waves will be bouncing back into the trunk resulting in cancellation. So your best options are facing the back or seal off.

Or try it out for yourself. One of the loudest trunk cars in the world is forward firing, not sealed off. Do some testing and see what fits best for you and your application.
