dlesman Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Haven't been on the forum in a long time but I am starting a build on my 2001 MDX and thought I would come back! I have all of my components, I am just waiting on some sound deadener and wire. It's supposed to be here anytime between now and Monday, I'm hoping for tomorrow! Heres what Im doing: RF 3Sixty.3 RF Punch 300x1 RF Punch 400x4 (2) MB Quart PVM216 6.5" Components Kicker CVR 10" in a ported box Kinetik HC1800 (Already Installed) I also have some foam baffles and some RGB lights that Im putting in. The sub is old and only temporary. The box that its in I built for another MDX that got totaled last year so it fits perfectly and I know it sounds good. I'm going to update this asap but I wanted to get my system in before I drive down to Rocky Point, MX for spring break in about a month My main contemplation right now is how I want to wire my mids and highs. Ideally I would like to use two channels on my amp for the tweeters and two channels for the woofers and then actively cross the channels over with the 3Sixty. My only concern is if the tweeters can handle the same amount of power as the woofers. The two combined are rated for 75 watts RMS. If I wire two tweeters in parallel and put them on one channel, thats more or less 100 watts RMS on the two tweeters.... am I going to fry them?? I figure two of the woofers can handle 100 watts rms just fine. Thanks in advance guys. Hopefully I didn't leave anything out! This is an awful pic of the car, Ill get a better one soon.

dlesman Posted February 15, 2015 Author Report Posted February 15, 2015 Got my wires yesterday and got started today! So far I got all the wiring done and all of the stock speakers are removed! 4ga power wire, two runs of speaker wire to each door (one for the tweeter and one for the woofer), I ran two full range high level signals (Front right and front left) for the 3Sixty to integrate the stock head unit, the remote wire for the 3Sixty remote, and an aux cord since the 3Sixty has an aux input. Hopefully tomorrow I get my doors all finished up. My sound deadener isn't going to be here until Tuesday so thats going to slow me down a little but I plan on having it playing tomorrow! Better pics of the car, as promised This is where the amps and the 3Sixty are going to live 2nd and 3rd row seats removed Got all the panels removed Door panels removed as well Took me a while to get all the wires through the rubber door seals, but I got it all ran and tucked away nicely. It got dark by the time I was finished so Ill have to get some better pictures in the morning, but heres some for now.

dlesman Posted February 15, 2015 Author Report Posted February 15, 2015 Got some more work done today! I would have it playing but I can't download the 3Sixty.3 interface for some reason. Im assuming theres an issue with RF's website because it starts downloading and then just stops a few seconds in. Hopefully I can get it downloaded soon! Other than that, door speakers all finished, wiring done, amps and 3Sixty are in. I am going to make an amp rack in the back once everything else is done. Door panels are on but are going to be coming off again in the next few days to get sound deadening in there. Im happy with the progress but really disapointed that I haven't gotten to hear anything yet... Tweeters installed in factory pods Had to cut the holes bigger. Got the tweeters mounted in the rear doors too. Still have a lot to do, but everything is all hooked up. As soon as I can get the 3Sixty software downloaded and get it playing I'll start organizing all the wires. Let me know what you guys think! Any tips or suggestions are always appreciated!

If you could elaborate more or take a picture I could give an opinion but I actually don't know what you're talking about, sorry
