Deeznutz
Ditch the SSL, that thing does not put out 3000W. You need a real amp. And not Hifonics either! lol. 2 12's should give you 3+ db right off the bat....... *Disclaimer: This is what I was told about the db increase, by the sales guy at Sound Advice yrs ago because you're doubling the surface area and voice coil. -Frank
gage120
So what kind should I get?
Deeznutz
So what kind should I get? Loaded question! Think about the system you want. start with wanting 2 12's. Do they need 600W, 700W, 800W combined? Once you figure that out, than look for a real amp to push them. Everyone knows I always push for old school stuff. One rule of them is to look at the fuse rating on the amp, 30X2= around MAYBE 600W on a name brand amp depending on it's efficiency. 40x2= around MAYBE 700-800W " " " " etc. For god sake, do not look at price point! Tell your woman you have to save up for a real amp, instead of the movies, rent one. She'll understand. lol. -Frank
