gage120
How much louder would my sa 12 get if I switched out my crappy ssl evo 3000. For a true 1200 watt rms amp
Triticum Agricolam
In your other thread you said you have two SA-12 D2's. What ohm load do you have them wired to the SSL EVO 3000? I can't tell you how many watts the amp you have now puts out. I can guess by its fuse rating (2 x 35 amps) that it probably doesn't put out much over 700 watts, at best. In practice you are probably getting even less than that. If you get a REAL 1200 watt amp you will put a lot more power to your subs. Now for the bad news, you will only barely be able to notice the difference between 700 and 1200 watts, if you can even hear the difference at all. That being said, if you are clipping the crap out of your subs with the amp you have now, getting a decent amp and tuning it correctly will probably result in much better sound which may seem to be louder, even if it really isn't. Joe X
The enclosure itself can gain you output if properly done.
