timewarp Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 Was searching old posts looking for examples of enclosures that had the enclosure specs shown so i could enter them into Torres calculator to get a hands on feel of using it . Using this thread / box as an example http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186909-i-need-help-with-enclosure-design/ If doing a partial external port , say extend the port 2 inches externally based off the enclosure size in the post 8 on that thread. I see in Torres calculator it adds just a very little bit of volume to the net size of the box ( + .07 ) which very slightly lowered the tuning ( .28 Hz ) . Iam guessing the 2 inch added externally would get taken off the extension part of the slot port ? Would it effect anything else ? I know 2 inch didnt change much but I can see where if the external part was say 12 inch how it would have a bigger effect on volume and tuning .
