Generally speaking, to drive speakers without using passive crossovers you would need a power amplifier with built-in crossovers that can perform the same or better function as the passive crossovers you would be eliminating. So that would mean you need an amp with high pass and low pass crossovers that can be set to the same frequency value. Ideally, you would be able to tune that frequency cutoff value for the best sound. The woofer would get the low pass channels, and the tweeter would get the high pass channels. You might already know this, but that is an important concept for "running active".

From my limited experience, you would want to be able to tune that frequency to 2,000-5,000 Hz for all the channels and you should be able to tune from there. You might need a little higher freq., you might need a little lower freq. There are many amps that can do this. Here is an example.
