zoeboi954 Posted March 19, 2015 Report Posted March 19, 2015 i never used an processor before i just wired them straight from head unit to amp.. i was with my builder couple of days ago and he had a car with couple of processor and i had asked him about one and he said it was for the bass and he stated that basically it can turn up the bass in song that have low (volume) bass in them. example like a country song with a little bit of bass it will enhance it when he turns the nob...is he right about this? the first thing that comes to my mind is clipping and distortion, couldn't that cause that? what are the top companies that sell this type of item? would yall recommend it this is what he had and i cant find this type online. loud force db station 4 Fi Q 12s In A Prius on 4 Crescendo BC2000D?! never knows best Posted March 19, 2015 Report Posted March 19, 2015 most have a frequency hz knob and a +/- db knob. it then "boosts" the frequency selected by the number of db's... if used incorrectly will cause distortion/clipping-
