I already have the big 3 completed and iv been looking up whats the best way to wire it for my situation. Ill be able to run at about 2200 watts with this fi bl 18 so is this diagram over doing it for a 2200 watt sound system and rear battery. I would like to have maintain strong/decent voltage number. Thanks!

dventurino412 Posted April 1, 2015 Author Report Posted April 1, 2015 Looks good but what is your question? theres alot of wires involved compared to some videos you see online of wiring of second battery. With budget in mind, i dont wanna buy wire when its not 100% needed
rockFord_Expedition Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 There aren't any un-necessary runs that I see, except for possibly the front to back negative. As far as budgeting goes, and it's also just good practice, don't make your runs any longer than necessary. If the little bit of wire involved here cramps your budget, maybe a second battery isn't in your budget either? Old School/New School RF Build March 2015 SOTM Winner How to crimp large wire
SIDE SHOW Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 looks fine, question to Rockford is whats the main purpose of the neg terminal wire joining the two batts together if they are earthed to the body/chassis at each battery?
Popwarhomie Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 You don't need the run of ground going to front batt. 2010 Focus coupe- 8 12" wall. 157.5@46hz 2016 Focus ST - SQ build.
la negra Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 I say do it right the first time. that diagram is good practice for anyone. if one ground fails or gets loose he will have less of a chance of equipment problem.

That's a good question. I edited my post. I was dead tired and had no business posting that late last night. As long as both batteries are grounded to a solid spot on the frame, same side of vehicle, no need for that negative run since it will have more resistance than the frame.
