tboorn Posted September 17, 2015 Report Share Posted September 17, 2015 although ive heard mixed reviews about JS alts, a buddy of mine has one on his mini van, and after a year and a half of bumping, it completely locked up somehow, my buddies mechanic had never seen anything like that happen and JS hadnt really either, but he shipped out a brand new alternator, not just fixed it, for free. I dont see how he could have still turned a profit on replacing an almost 2 year old alt entirely for free, so it leads me to believe he does have some general care for his customers, and that was pretty cool to know. My friend thought for sure he would at least have to pay for the repair or something and wasnt mad about it or anything since he had owned it for a while, but when he got a new one for free, we were both very pleasantly surprised. i cant vouch for the quality of product or anything (mainly because i just dont know enough about alternator parts), but our customer service experience was great.
