does anyone know the hole centers on the fi q 18 ... The cutout is 16-3/4 and the od is 18-1/2 ...17-5/8" is the center of the two but surely that can't b where the bolt holes are! I'm awaiting 2 q 18"s and am at the final step on the enclosure "doubble baffel" and would like to get the t nuts ready for the subs. If anyone has the dimensions of the bolt hole pattern is surely like them... Or I'll just have to wait till they get here :) I've been waiting on em for 4 weeks now lmao I'm very impatient

Yes simplest thing to do install subs into box and mark holes or drill through and enlarge after removing subs. Dont get a head of your self or you might make a mistake. Not worth doing IMO.

?yea I suppose I've waited for them this long,I may as well wait to finish the box also. It's not a major step... But if one is a bit off then I'll b pissed at myself for not waiting?

Ya its way worth it to wait. Glued my T nuts in as and tightened the screws down 2 weeks ago to hold T-nuts in and have touch enclosure since. But i have a slow rebuild going and been working to many hours lately to put in much time.

good luck with the t-nuts. Hope they work well for you. have heard many horror stories about them. Got any pics of the enclosure?

maby I'll post a few when it's finished and in my Murano. I may not even need tnuts I'm using birch not mdf cuz it's lighter, maby it's overkill but I'm coming from a single re xxx 12 to 2 fi q 18"s, and I just feel better about having bolts vs wood screws ? ...and glueing the t nuts is a really good idea lol maby ill locktite the bolts too! Because Lordy if one of those came loose it may b a disaster it it were to fall into the wrong place

nice, like what you did with the port.

Thanks, box was built last spring, wish i would have put the T-nuts in there. I thought i would never remove subs but have a couple times now so T-nuts just seem like the next best step. And gluing then in made sense to me. Building a enclosure for the wifes Malibu and plan to use them there too. Be a 2013 T1D412 on a RF power 1000a1 in a Joe X design. Should slam hard.
