81000D Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 I have a port that is 4 1/2" high by 25" wide. How far should my port be from the loading wall? Thnx in advance.
RooTxBeeR Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 At minimum of 4.5" if there is no flare. You want the smaller of the 2(height or width) as the minimum distance between the loading wall and the end of the port. juan777 Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 Depends on box size, dimensions and tuning. Your best bet is to tell us what you have and provide dimensions and desired tuning. 81000D Posted May 12, 2015 Author Report Posted May 12, 2015 Thnx for the fast repy and no its not flared.
RooTxBeeR Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 Thnx for the fast repy and no its not flared. Then at minimum 4.5. I take it it's a slot port then? If that's the case, help yourself out and before you build the box. The main port wall, round over the edge of it so it's nice and round. Will help air flow easier around the port.
